Figure kneeling in monks robes with feet tucked up under him. Hands in attitude of reverence held at chest level. Finger is equal in length. Head is bowed forward. Hair is smooth but indicated by single incised line around head. Ears are very long but close to head. Triple-edged robe with shoulder flap hanging down the sinister side of shoulder at an angle down to the lower back. Seated on feet, which are carved in back. Toes are long and equal in length. Feet are flattened. Top of base is raised and only slightly titled forward. Red lacquer base is plain and circular. Edges of figure are rounded. Lap is smooth and round with edge of robe coming down sinister arm curving around in front of figure emphasizing the gentle curves.
