Small silver bowl with straight sides containing narratives in repousse. Directly below the rim the bowl contains a narrow frieze which includes a scroll pattern decoration. The narrative scene includes 3 mythical animals, all in seated positions, as well as 1 man, 1 woman, and 1 Bilu (bent neck, upside down head). “The pictorial scenes in repousse work are outlined by cusped arches of silver and are separated from one another by spandrels of foliage. Below the narrative the bowl is decorated with a narrow frieze of stylized lotus petals. The frieze is bounded by 2 lines. (Fraser-Lu, 1989.30).” The bottom contains a “No 20” engraved inscription. High quality work. (Interesting for research).
