| Manuscript Chest and Stand, lacquered wood, gilded with mirror inlay. Rectangular shaped box with hinged lid. Decorated with molded lacquer and inlay. Manuscript chest stand is a four-legged stand with foliate design, gilded. This chest is from Mandalay and said to have belonged to a princess of the Ava period (17th and 18th century). |
